The owners of this property longed for a forever home to raise their family of young boys in. They envisioned a house that would stay trendy throughout the year with plenty of open space and outdoor living areas.
A gently sloping block facing north on to bushland.
PlaceMate Architects designed a family friendly home that brings the outside in. From entry through the central front door, all living spaces open to the north and have views of the pool, play areas, and to the bush beyond. The parents’ rooms are located on one side of the house, and kids to the other. The interior spaces and living areas are open-plan, clean and uncluttered. An east-west axis provides private access from the garage to the bedrooms. Expensive materials are saved for sparing use in feature locations, with pale neutral finishes beautifully resolved throughout.
